Photo 6 Aug It’s Monday again. And here I am!!! Success.
Well, if you don’t know this already, I am getting married in 3 weeks. I’m telling you that now, because between now and then my blogs are most likely gonna be about wedding stuff. My apologies. And if I accidentally miss a #MONDAYMUMBLE, please forgive me. And feel free to send me a message reminding me that it’s Monday. I have seriously been getting my days mixed up here lately. Wonder why?
It’s all been really fun. This past weekend was a BLAST! My producer and engineer, Dan Hannon and Brad Fisher, threw us a bad-a party in Atlanta. So much fun. There were lights, mason jars, floating candles, TONS of food, crawfish shaped cupcakes, customized coosies (see above), great music, dancing, and anything you wanted to drink. It was so special. My family packed it out and it was so great seeing old friends there, too. THANK YOU to everyone who came to the party! You will be getting a note from me soon. :) We opened all of your gifts when we got home and were BLOWN AWAY! So many generous people surrounding us…..wow. It was like a huge tidal wave of love crashing down.
We had no idea what to expect going into the night, but the guys blew us away. The details and decor, the obvious amount of time and money spent on throwing us the bash of the year, and all the people involved. I whispered to Matt when we walked up, “this is amazing….I feel so loved and humbled…almost to the point of where I feel guilt.”
We are so blessed with amazing friends and family on all sides of us. Thank you to Dan and the whole Hannon family who drove up from Florida for the weekend. Brian Hannon, the AMAZING cook, you made your mark. I’m sending everyone to Ft. Walton Beach, FL to visit your BBQ restaurant. Thank you. To Shelley, Dan’s wife, and your family, thank you for working so hard, getting up early, and opening up your home to us. We LOVE YOU!
And to my sisters, Molly and Maddy (who I’m currently living with), I apologize for dominating your small apartment with my wedding decorations. You might not be able to use your kitchen table for the next couple weeks. Sorry! Molly, don’t freak out when you get home from work. It will all disappear soon. :)
Hope everybody else has been enjoying the end of the summer….can y’all believe school is already starting back!?! Time is flying. I’ll be back on the road this fall playing shows and recording new music, so y’all hang in there with me! Looking forward to it. :)
