HOW THE OTHER HALF GIVES TOUR 2011 - tour video numero uno
Let me first let you in on what I’m talking about…
The How The Other Half Gives Tour is a volunteer effort and songwriter tour meant to highlight the important and unparalleled humanitarian efforts put forth by local nonprofits each day in cities throughout the United States. The concept—devised by touring songwriters Tyler Mechem, Luke Cunningham, Ryan Bonner and Emily Lynch—sets out to prove how giving just a little bit of yourself can mean the world to someone else. Utilizing each artist’s fan base, combined social media networks, musical abilities—as well as their daytime volunteering/manual labor at each tour stop—the four songwriters are taking the mission yet another step farther by donating 100 percent of ticket sales from each night’s show to a selected charity in each town.
Now that you know what the tour is about, let me catch you up on everything that’s been happening out on the road. This is the 1st of 4 video blogs capturing some of the highlights of the tour. Wonderful people to tour with, amazing people to volunteer under, and a HUGE blessing to be able to give back and do what I love.
When God gives you a gift that you don’t deserve, it feels good to be able to use it for a bigger purpose. I’m grateful.
